Give Back to the Parks You Love

For the past 100 years, Texas State Parks have provided tens of millions of park goers a chance to experience the awe-inspiring natural wonders that have shaped our heritage for centuries. With nearly 90 parks that encompass the full array of Texas’ wild things and wild places, there is a park to fit every personality and passion.

Each and every park strives to meet or exceed the needs of its visitors and the surrounding community by offering unforgettable experiences based on visitor requests and feedback. Texas State Parks do an amazing job of providing engaging, high-quality programming, but not every project can be implemented within the existing state budget. That’s why Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) worked with state park superintendents to identify much-needed projects for each park. We are raising $2 million to bring these projects to fruition and help our parks bloom for the next 100 years. A generous group of Centennial Champions is catalyzing this charge by matching every dollar raised, doubling the impact of your gift for our state parks!

Many thoughtful projects are aimed at bringing our parks to life for a whole new audience of explorers, such as installing a braille trail to enrich the auditory experience for vision-impaired visitors at Caddo Lake State Park. We also have projects to amplify the already-wild beauty that exists within our parks, including restoring 15 acres of native prairie along the Greenbelt Corridor of Ray Roberts Lake State Park to welcome birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Still other projects aim to spotlight the wild things that already inhabit our wild places, like adding wildlife viewing blinds at Devil’s Sinkhole State Natural Area so park goers can spot critters beyond the beloved bats who always draw a curious crowd. These are just a small sampling of the many projects we are aiming to complete in an effort to help Texas State Parks continue to delight visitors for generations to come.
