Leaving a Wild Legacy

A Planned Giving Newsletter from Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation

AUG 2024

In this issue of our Planned Giving newsletter, we offer two great ways to give from your IRA and enjoy tax savings while making an impact on our wild things and wild places, and we share how a gift of appreciated stocks can support TPWF with the added benefit of eliminating capital gains!

I hope you also enjoy learning about how Bill Hill’s love of Texas and our lands, waters and wildlife compelled him to find the perfect way to pay forward his good fortune with a legacy gift for the benefit of all who love our great outdoor traditions as much as he did.

Thank you for your continued support,

Two Great Ways to Give From Your IRA

An IRA is an appealing way to save for retirement: Make a contribution and enjoy tax savings. But eventually, the tax bill comes due—when you take your annual distributions and again when you leave your assets to heirs. If you want to avoid the tax bite and make an impact on the wild things and wild places of Texas, consider a gift to Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF).

Who Needs Wild Things and Wild Places?

Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation believes we all do! And to prove that, 2023 was a year filled with tremendous milestones, from celebrating the centennial anniversary of Texas State Parks to TPWF surpassing the 200,000-acre mark of vital wildlife habitat conserved and hitting the $250 million mark in funds raised and invested to date. In our 2023 Annual Report, we highlight our collective wins on behalf of our wild things and wild places. We also introduce you to a few friends we’ve met along the way who, like thousands of conservation-minded Texans, are doing their part to keep Texas wild.

Thank you for being a vital part of this effort. Enjoy our 2023 Annual Report.
