AUSTIN

The Austin chapter gathered for TPWF’s annual Hall of Fame event and the Banff Mountain Film Festival. A group of Stewards also experience a wild game cooking class hosted by a fellow Steward and chef. Austin members also helped clean Austin parks for the “It’s My Park Day” event.

Dallas-Dove Hunt  

DALLAS

The Dallas chapter had great success this spring with their Waterfowl Hunt and Skeet Shoot. Female members also gathered for the second year of the Ladies Wine and Wild Game Social. Upcoming events include a dove hunt, Wild Texas Film Tour, and the fall State of Conservation dinner.

Ft. Worth- Happy Hour at Blue Mesa  

FORT WORTH

The Fort Worth chapter recently hosted an event, “Stewards and Students,” where Stewards helped take Rivertree Academy students and families fishing. Upcoming events include the monthly Speaker Series event at Capital Bar featuring Texas Land Conservancy and Texas Parks and Wildlife biologists.

Houston- Clay Shoot Winners  

HOUSTON

The Houston Chapter has recently had success with their Annual Crawfish Boil and partnering with local conservation organizations such as the Houston Zoo, Katy Prairie Conservancy, and the Coastal Conservation Association to bring awareness of Stewards of the Wild and its mission.

San Antonio- Launch Party  

MIDLAND

In March, the Midland Stewards hosted their first event to kick off the start of the chapter. The event was held at KD's BBQ in Midland and included Gary P. Nunn, Ben Masters and Dr. Louis Harveson as musical entertainment and guest speakers. It was a great turnout with over 300 people in attendance!

San Antonio Stewards have had a wide variety of activities this spring. A fun trip to Devils River in West Texas was followed by a “wild-game” cooking class at Central Market and a happy hour with Olympic archer Vic Wunderle.
