In this issue of our Planned Giving newsletter, find out how you can ensure your hard-earned dollars won't be caught up in probate court after you’re gone by considering a gift of life insurance to Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF), and how a gift of appreciated stock can mean a smaller tax burden for you and a larger gift to TPWF.

And, I hope you enjoy learning about how one couple is taking active steps now with their time and investments to ensure Texas remains the natural place that it is.

Support Palo Pinto Mountains State Park Today!

Palo Pinto Mountains State Park has been a long-anticipated project for both TPWF and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). In a major victory for state park advocates, the Texas Legislature recently appropriated $12.5 million to develop the newest jewel in the state park system. TPWF has committed to raise up to an additional $10 million in support of this incredible state park. Palo Pinto Mountains State Park is located on 4,421 acres of scenic, undeveloped land approximately 75 miles west of Fort Worth and 75 miles east of Abilene. The new state park will provide a wonderful setting for hiking, mountain biking, camping, horseback riding, fishing, and stargazing. It will serve as a premier outdoor destination for the DFW Metroplex and is expected to evenutally attract 75,000 visitors annually. TPWF is committed to the success of this landmark conservation and recreation project.

Donate today to help ensure that Palo Pinto Mountains State Park becomes a first-class outdoor recreation destination for all Texans to enjoy.
