Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center: Fishing for the Future
|
For nearly a quarter-century, the Edwin L. Cox, Jr., Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) in Athens has brought together avid anglers, curious school children, dedicated conservation professionals and many generous supporters in their passion for Texas’ freshwater resources. The 106-acre site includes over 300,000 gallons of indoor and outdoor aquariums, exhibits featuring fish, alligators and other native species, recreational fishing ponds and a fish hatchery that produces millions of Florida largemouth bass annually. After 25 years of operation, TFFC’s aquariums and exhibits are due for an update, and TPWF has raised more than $2.5 million of the $3 million fundraising goal for the needed improvements. You can help showcase the best of Texas’ inland waterways by making a donation today.
